You take bourbon with your bagels, right?
Perfect. You’ll love this next part then.
Now in its eight season, Due South Art Food and Musical Festival is all about serving up delicious experiences the entire family can enjoy. This year, that means the addition of two new culinary experiences – a Bourbon & Bagels cooking and mixology event for the 21+ crowd, as well as a kid’s cooking class dubbed Respect the Butter.
Chef John Gregory of Empire Bagel, located on Jackson Street in Downtown Thomasville, will lead both experiences.
“The culinary arts are a fundamental (and fun) part of our community here in Thomasville,” said Chef John. “I’m excited to be a part of that, but I’m also excited we’ll be able to reach a different audience than who might usually walk through our doors at Empire Bagel. Due South is all about bringing the region together, and that’s a cause we’re looking forward to celebrating.”
Due South’s founders at Thomasville Center for the Arts let their imaginations run wild for the 2019 lineup. In partnership with Thomasville National Bank, the Center is celebrating what it means to be a part of the “new South” through this annual festival.
Things kick off on April 9thwith Bourbon & Bagels.
